COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Centra Foundation recently brightened Book Buddies’ 15th anniversary year as it was presented a $2,000 community action grant from the organization. Centra team members nominated and selected Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation’s (BCSC) volunteered-based Book Buddies for the grant.
“We are honored to be a recipient. We are thankful to Centra and its commitment to supporting our community,” said Book Buddies Director Debbie Lindauer.
Overall, 27 non-profit organizations were nominated throughout the communities that Centra serves. The Centra Foundation grants help further their missions.
Book Buddies, a one-on-one reading program, serves second and third graders in 11 BCSC schools.
