The man was observed to be having what appeared to be physical altercation with a woman inside of a vehicle at the city parking garage, which is located at 504 SE Broadway Street.
Stine discovered that the woman inside was attempting CPR on her husband, who was in medical distress. While calling 911 for help, Stine removed the gentleman from his vehicle and onto the garage deck to better assist him, while the wife started compressions and breathing until Santangelo arrived on the scene and took over compressions.
Emergency services arrived shortly thereafter, and the patient was transported to the hospital. Due to HIPAA laws, the patient’s status is unknown at this time.
“We want to say thank you to these officers who were willing to help. We appreciate your kindness and service to our citizens,” reads a social media post from the City of Ocala.
