Man shot, killed outside of Memphis Save A Lot, police say - FOX13 Memphis

Memphis, Tenn. — A man is dead after gunfire rang out at a Memphis grocery store Thursday afternoon.

Memphis Police said the shooting happened around 2:20 p.m. outside of the Save A Lot at 3461 Austin Peay Highway.

First responders raced to the scene, but the man who was shot did not survive, according to police.

Officers are on the scene of a shooting at 3461 Austin Peay. One male victim was located and has been pronounced dead at the scene.
Prelim info indicates that the suspect(s) are known to the victim—no arrests at this time. The investigation is ongoing.

Police said that the man knew whoever killed him though no arrests have been made yet.
