A “Save our Town” rally was held in downtown Livermore. The organizers of the protest say that the county coronavirus shelter-in-place order has gone on far too long. The organizers would like to co-develop a reopening plan with the City Council. A plan that adheres to county and state’s social distancing and hygiene guidelines.

Some in attendance carried signs reading “Every Worker is Essential” and “Open Our Town” as others waved flags during the peaceful rally. On their Facebook page: “Save Our Town’s goal is to one, support the many businesses that are in fear of closing their doors for good and to highlight this message to our community and our civic leadership. Secondly, to create an urgency and creative dialogue toward creating some enlightened options to protect our businesses and our cities’ quality of life.”
